Notification on Market Risk Control during the Labor Day Holiday in 2022

According to the holiday schedule of SGE, the market will be closed from April 30 (Saturday) to May 4 (Wednesday), the market will reopen on May 5 (Thursday), and there will be no night trading session on April 29 (Friday).

In order to prevent the fluctuation of gold and silver prices in the international market during the holiday period, according to the relevant provisions of Measures for the Administration of Risk Control of Shanghai Gold Exchange, SGE will adjust the margin rate and price limit for gold and silver deferred contracts. The relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:

1.As of after-hours clearing on April 28, 2022 (Thursday), the margin rate for Au(T+D), mAu(T+D), Au(T+N1), Au(T+N2), NYAuTN06, NYAuTN12 will be adjusted from 10% to 12%, and the price limit will be adjusted from 9% to 11% from the next trading day. The margin rate of Ag (T+D) contract will be adjusted from 14% to 16% and the price limit will be adjusted from 13% to 15% from the next trading day.

If a limit-locked market occurs on April 28, and the margin rate and price limit adjusted in accordance with the relevant provisions of Shanghai Gold Exchange Risk Control Management Measures are higher than the above standards, the higher standards will be applied.

2.After the resumption of trading on May 5, 2022 (Thursday), starting from the after-hours clearing on the first trading day without limit-locked market, margin rates for Au(T+D), mAu(T+D), Au(T+N1), Au(T+N2), NYAuTN06, NYAuTN12 will be restored to 10%, and the price limit from the next trading day will be restored to 9%. Margin rates for Ag (T+D) will be restored to 14% and the price limit will be restored to 13% from the next trading day.

All members shall raise risk control awareness, make proper and detailed risk prevention plan, and remind investors of risk management, make rational investment and position management, so as to ensure the healthy and stable operation of the market.
