For the purpose of promoting the cooperation among gold market participants in RCEP countries, and enhancing influence of China’s gold market in major markets in Asia-Pacific region, on March 11th, SGE successfully held the first China-Japan Precious Metal Market Webinar. The webinar was jointly hosted by SGE and Japan Exchange Group (hereinafter as “JPX”)，nearly 100 attendees from China, Japan, Singapore and other countries participated in this webinar.

During the webinar, representatives of SGE and JPX respectively introduced the overview of the precious metal market in China and Japan, and the precious metal products including trading, delivery, clearing and other business. Delegate of ICBC Standard Bank, an active market participant in both markets, shared his prospection and potential trading opportunities between China and Japan precious metal markets.

With accelerating the opening-up of China financial markets, and the officially signing of RCEP Agreement, SGE will continue to play the role of key financial markets, take efforts to explore international cross-market cooperation mode, actively communicate with international exchanges in RCEP countries, in the meantime, provide diversified trading opportunities to domestic and foreign investors, and keep lifting the influence of “Shanghai Gold Benchmark” price and standard.
