On July 26, 2024, Dato Wira Ng Chun Hau, President of Malaysia Gold Association (MGA), led a delegation to visit the Shanghai Gold Exchange (SGE) and met with SGE Chairman Yu Wenjian. Yu was accompanied by SGE Deputy President Teng Wei.

At the meeting, Chairman Yu presented the history and future visions of SGE to the delegation. He hoped that the two institutions will strengthen communication, thereby working together to advance win-win cooperation in the gold markets between China and Southeast Asia.

President Ng Chun Hau praised the achievements made by China’s gold market over the past two decades. He expected closer communication with SGE to explore business potentials, facilitating the exchange and collaborative programs between Chinese and Malaysian gold markets.
